Davit arm systems offer an advantage over anchor points as they can provide up to 1800mm outreach minimising the need for ropes trailing over parapet cappings.

Permanent applications can be rotated 180 degrees inboard of the parapet for ease of initial rigging and portable systems will allow for ground rigging with lightweight aluminium options used for roof rigging. Bespoke bases offer a great deal of versatility to suit particular applications (e.g. abseil davit systems).

Davit arm systems are typically installed at 2-3 metre intervals and can even be used to raise and lower materials under LOLER. Most davit arm systems are compatible with various rescue aids to ensure full compliance.

These systems must be inspected before and after every use by a trained user. They must be inspected & tested by a suitable working at height Specialist Company a minimum of every 6 months and/or after every fall.
